We're looking for a Performance Marketing Systems Engineer with strong experience in affiliate marketing technology and referral tracking systems.

You'll help design and implement multi-tier affiliate, referral, and commission platforms that promote transparency, engagement, and ethical growth.

This is a unique opportunity for an engineer who enjoys building scalable partner platforms, automated reward systems, and marketing technology infrastructure from the ground up.

This is not a traditional salaried position. Instead, it operates under an equity-based model, suitable for experienced professionals seeking long-term collaboration and ownership opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and build multi-tier referral, affiliate, and commission tracking systems with transparent logic.
  • Develop APIs, data pipelines, and backend automation for affiliate and influencer performance tracking.
  • Integrate secure payment and reward systems (Stripe, PayPal, or similar) ensuring GDPR / ICO compliance.
  • Collaborate with marketing, growth, and technology teams to maintain data integrity and fair attribution.
  • Help shape partner reward models and affiliate tiers that prioritise fairness, accountability, and scalability.
  • Optimise systems for high-volume marketing traffic and real-time performance data.

Skills & Experience

  • Proven background in software engineering or marketing systems architecture.
  • Experience with affiliate or referral marketing platforms, API integrations, or performance-tracking systems.
  • Proficiency in Python, , or similar backend frameworks.
  • Familiarity with databases (MySQL, MongoDB) and cloud hosting (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Understanding of marketing analytics, UTM tracking, and attribution models.
  • Strong awareness of data protection, privacy, and ethical data use (GDPR / ICO).
  • Passion for creating transparent, compliant, and growth-oriented digital ecosystems.

Pay: £28,729.06-£81,201.08 per year
