We are looking for a hands-on HR Business Partner or experienced HR Advisor to provide maternity cover for 12 months. Based in Wigan, this is a role for someone who isn't afraid of "doing the doing" and enjoys being actively involved in all aspects of HR delivery.

You'll act as a trusted advisor to managers and senior leaders, while also taking a practical, sleeves-rolled-up approach to day-to-day HR activity. Key Job Responsibilities:

About you

  • Proven experience as an HR Business Partner or HR Advisor.
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
  • Confidence in managing complex employee relations cases.
  • A "hands-on" approach – someone comfortable balancing strategy with operational HR delivery.
  • Excellent interpersonal, influencing, and communication skills.
  • CIPD Level 5 (or working towards).
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
