About the Company

Our client is a rapidly growing business in the construction sector, who have a variety of revenue streams including sales, lettings and also hospitality. In order to ensure their continued success, they are looking to appoint an experienced
Management Accountant
to join their finance team.

About the Role

  • Key tasks will include preparing accurate and timely financial reporting for the board of directors, as well as statutory accounts, quarterly external reporting, and management accounts. You will also support external audits, drive process improvement and be involved with various projects. In short, providing financial insights to assist the senior leadership team with decision-making across the business is a key part of this role.

To be considered for this role it is
essential
that you have a relevant accounting qualification - ACA, ACCA, or CIMA

The ideal candidate needs to be able to demonstrate experience in External and Statutory reporting, Management Accounting and Financial Control, Anylysis and Business Support / Business Partnering and have excellent IT skills including Excell and ideally Sage Intacct.

You will need to have at least three years experience producing end-to-end management accounts and have a strong focus on quality. Attention to detail is an absolute must. Equally important are your communications skills. You must be able to explain financial data and its implications to non-finance colleagues.

You must also have experience of working in industry / in-house, not just working in an accountancy practice.
