We are seeking a highly skilled Information Solutions Lead to join our client's Scientific Information and Intelligence team. This role will lead projects focused on defining and executing a data marketplace strategy, enabling seamless access to external information assets and supporting AI and digital readiness across the organization.

The successful candidate will bridge the gap between information science and AI/machine learning applications, ensuring external data is standardized, compliant, and optimized for scientific workflows.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead multiple projects including enterprise solution delivery, establishing data foundations, and enabling AI adoption across scientific platforms.
  • Define and execute the vision and roadmap for the data marketplace, supporting both scientific research and business strategy.
  • Enable seamless access to diverse external data sources and tools, reducing friction in discovery and use.
  • Translate information science principles into actionable AI and machine learning applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to standardize metadata, ensure data compliance, and optimize external data for AI, analytics, and scientific platforms.
  • Scout and evaluate emerging technologies to improve data access, interoperability, and usability.
  • Serve as the primary representative of the data marketplace, delivering presentations, training, and facilitating stakeholder engagement.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in information science, data management, or a related field; experience in pharma or other highly regulated sectors is advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of search and discovery technologies, knowledge information science, master data management, and the data lifecycle.
  • Tech-savvy and comfortable working with AI concepts, machine learning, large language models (LLMs), and their implications for scientific data platforms.
  • Experience translating information science into practical applications for digital and AI initiatives.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to anticipate requirements and deliver solutions in agile environments.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Able to work effectively with data scientists, engineers, and AI teams.
