Job Title: Chef de Partie

Location: Beau Desert Golf Club

Salary: £25,000-£28,000 per annum

Hours Full-time, 40 hours per week, including weekends, evenings, and bank holidays as required

Reports to: Head Chef

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Chef de Partie to join the culinary team at our prestigious Private Members Golf Club. As a Chef de Partie, you will support the senior kitchen team in preparing high-quality dishes across a variety of menus, including daily clubhouse dining, member events, and private functions. This role offers excellent opportunities for professional development within a structured, supportive kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and cooking of a wide range of dishes to high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Work across all kitchen sections as required, including starters, mains, desserts, and cold preparation.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in all food preparation areas in line with food safety standards (HACCP).
  • Ensure kitchen setup and food preparation is completed ahead of service.
  • Follow directions from the Head Chef with attention to detail.
  • Support the team during busy service periods and contribute to a smooth and efficient kitchen operation.
  • Assist in stock rotation, labelling, and storage procedures to minimize waste and ensure freshness.
  • Participate in training sessions to enhance culinary skills and knowledge.
  • Uphold the Club's high standards of professionalism, courtesy, and member service.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential – training will be provided.
  • NVQ Level 2 in Professional Cookery or equivalent is preferred.
  • Knowledge of basic food hygiene and health & safety standards.
  • Passion for cooking and a willingness to learn and grow within a professional kitchen.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
