Chef de Partie – Coton Orchard Garden Centre Café

Location: Coton, Cambridge

Hours: Daytime only – no split shifts or late nights

Contract: Full-time / Permanent

We are looking for a passionate Chef de Partie who thrives in a busy kitchen and takes pride in creating beautiful, wholesome food. You'll be part of a friendly and professional team delivering high-quality dishes to our loyal customers throughout the day.

What You'll Do

As a key member of our kitchen brigade, your duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing and presenting dishes to a consistently high standard across all sections
  • Assisting the Head Chef and Sous Chef in daily kitchen operations
  • Taking ownership of a section, ensuring quality, speed, and efficiency during service
  • Supporting menu development with creative, seasonal ideas
  • Ensuring all food is prepared safely and in line with hygiene regulations (HACCP)
  • Managing stock rotation, labelling, and waste reduction
  • Helping to train and support junior kitchen team members
  • Maintaining cleanliness, organisation, and high standards throughout the kitchen
  • Collaborating with front-of-house teams to ensure smooth service and happy customers

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or strong Commis ready to step up
  • A genuine passion for food and seasonal produce
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Good organisational ability and attention to detail
  • A calm, professional approach – even during busy service
  • A positive attitude and commitment to maintaining high standards
