The Role:

As a Contract Manager, you'll be responsible for managing multiple flooring projects across various sites, ensuring they're delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standard. You'll liaise closely with clients, site teams, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of commercial flooring contracts from award to handover
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively
  • Carry out site visits, inspections, and progress meetings
  • Coordinate installation teams and ensure health & safety compliance
  • Prepare and review project documentation, including risk assessments and method statements
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and stakeholders
  • Resolve any on-site or logistical issues promptly and efficiently

About You:

To succeed in this role, you'll need strong project management skills and a deep understanding of commercial flooring operations.

Essential Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Contract Manager (ideally within commercial flooring or interiors fit-out)
  • Excellent knowledge of floor preparation, installation methods, and materials (e.g. vinyl, carpet, LVT, safety flooring, etc.)
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Good IT and reporting skills
  • Full UK driving licence

Desirable:

  • SMSTS or SSSTS certification
  • CSCS card
  • Experience working on public sector or framework contracts
