Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to provide high-quality care and assistance to individuals in various settings, including assisted living, nursing homes, and home care environments. The role involves supporting clients with daily activities, ensuring their safety, and promoting independence. Applicants should have a genuine desire to make a positive difference in people's lives and possess relevant experience in caring for vulnerable individuals. Duties
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Support with mobility and transfer activities, including heavy lifting when necessary
- Administer medication following prescribed instructions and maintain accurate records
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements
- Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental and emotional well-being
- Monitor health status and report any concerns or changes to healthcare professionals
- Provide specialised care for individuals with Alzheimer's, dementia, or other cognitive impairments
- Support with behavioural management strategies to ensure a safe environment
- Drive clients safely to appointments or outings as required
- Assist with household chores and maintaining a clean, safe living environment
- Uphold confidentiality and adhere strictly to health and safety regulations
Skills
- Experience in assisted living, nursing home care, or home care environments
- Knowledge of patient care techniques including medication administration and first aid
- Familiarity with dementia, Alzheimer's, hospice, and senior care practices
- Strong caregiving skills with a compassionate and patient demeanour
- Ability to handle behavioural challenges with sensitivity and professionalism
- Excellent communication skills for engaging effectively with clients and team members
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and support mobility needs
- Reliable driving skills for transporting clients safely when required
- Organised approach to managing multiple responsibilities efficiently
- Flexibility to adapt to changing client needs and schedules

Pay: £12.21 per hour
