Job Summary

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to provide high-quality care and assistance to individuals in various settings, including assisted living, nursing homes, and home care environments. Duties

  • Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Support with mobility and transfer activities, including heavy lifting when necessary
  • Administer medication following prescribed instructions and maintain accurate records
  • Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements
  • Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental and emotional well-being
  • Monitor health status and report any concerns or changes to healthcare professionals
  • Provide specialised care for individuals with Alzheimer's, dementia, or other cognitive impairments
  • Support with behavioural management strategies to ensure a safe environment
  • Drive clients safely to appointments or outings as required
  • Assist with household chores and maintaining a clean, safe living environment
  • Uphold confidentiality and adhere strictly to health and safety regulations

Skills

  • Experience in assisted living, nursing home care, or home care environments
  • Knowledge of patient care techniques including medication administration and first aid
  • Familiarity with dementia, Alzheimer's, hospice, and senior care practices
  • Strong caregiving skills with a compassionate and patient demeanour
  • Ability to handle behavioural challenges with sensitivity and professionalism
  • Excellent communication skills for engaging effectively with clients and team members
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and support mobility needs
  • Reliable driving skills for transporting clients safely when required
  • Organised approach to managing multiple responsibilities efficiently
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing client needs and schedules
