Ready to join a world-renowned, high-performance automotive brand at the forefront of innovation and technology? This is a rare opportunity for an accomplished Interim Commodity Buyer to play a pivotal role in driving procurement excellence across key vehicle commodity groups.

You'll be joining a fast-moving, precision-driven environment where engineering, performance and innovation converge, and importantly where procurement has a direct influence on quality, cost, and future product success.

The Opportunity:

As an Interim Commodity Buyer, you'll take ownership of sourcing and supplier management within specific commodity areas ranging from
Electric Powertrain and Electrical Systems to Chassis, Body, Interior, Exterior and Carbon Components
. You'll work collaboratively with Engineering, Supplier Quality and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver sourcing strategies that balance performance, innovation, and commercial value.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead supplier negotiations and finalise production contracts across assigned commodities.
  • Develop and deploy strategic sourcing plans that ensure cost, quality, and timing objectives are met.
  • Conduct supplier assessments and make informed sourcing recommendations.
  • Drive cost reduction initiatives and mitigate supplier cost increases.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to align technical, commercial, and quality requirements.
  • Act as a key contact for supplier relationship management (SRM) and performance tracking.
  • Support risk assessments and total acquisition cost analysis.

What We're Looking For:

  • Proven experience in procurement or commodity buying within a manufacturing or automotive environment.
  • Strong negotiation skills and confidence managing complex supplier relationships.
  • Sound understanding of cost breakdown analysis, risk assessment, and structured sourcing strategy.
  • Commercially astute, analytical and detail-oriented with a collaborative approach.
  • Degree in Business, Engineering, or related field preferred. CIPS qualification advantageous.
