Head of Service Delivery - Interim / Temp to Perm

HW Interim Solutions are working with a large multi-site business undergoing significant digital and operational transformation.

They are looking to appoint experienced IT Services leader to provide stability, direction and continued improvement across a well-established technology function during a period of transition.

Reporting to the CIO, you'll lead a team that covers Service Desk, Field Support, User Access, 2nd Line and Change Management. You'll be supported by a capable leadership team and will play a key role in maintaining operational excellence while shaping future improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee IT infrastructure, operations, and service delivery across the organisation
  • Lead, develop, and motivate a skilled team to ensure consistent high performance
  • Drive service quality, efficiency, and alignment with business needs
  • Manage budgets, resources, and vendor relationships effectively
  • Contribute to the wider IT strategy and continuous improvement agenda

About You:

  • Proven experience leading IT operations or service delivery functions in complex environments
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
  • Confident decision-maker with a focus on delivery and accountability
  • Skilled in building and maintaining high-performing teams
  • Comfortable operating in an interim capacity and making an immediate impact

This role would suit a hands-on, outcome-focused leader who brings both operational rigour and a collaborative approach to driving improvement.

This will be offered on a day rate basis £600-700pd and will sit inside of IR35.

The role can mostly be done remotely, however some occasional travel to the Midlands is required.
