Role Overview

We're looking for an Operations Support Administrator to become a vital part of our team. In this role, you'll play a key part in keeping the business running smoothly — supporting day-to-day operations, maintaining accurate records, liaising with suppliers, and ensuring our administrative processes are efficient and well organised.

You'll be the go-to person for managing stock levels, coordinating purchasing activities, and helping us maintain the high standards our customers rely on. Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee procurement and purchasing processes, including raising purchase orders and liaising with suppliers.
  • Place purchase orders and process delivery notes using Microsoft Business Central.
  • Manage stock levels and inventory control, ensuring materials and supplies are available as required.
  • Carry out inventory checks and stock counts within the factory.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation relating to purchasing, deliveries, and stock usage.
  • Collect, organise, and scan paperwork for purchasing and stock records.
  • Support general office administration, including data entry, filing, document preparation, and maintaining company databases.
  • Handle emails and correspondence in a professional manner.
  • Support the stock function with ad-hoc requirements, such as purchasing stationery and consumables.
  • Assist with internal reporting, record keeping, and other administrative projects as needed.
  • Collaborate with team leaders, shop floor staff, and other departments to understand requirements and support smooth business operations.
  • Undertake any administrative tasks commensurate with the responsibilities, scope, and salary of the role.

Skills & Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years' administrative experience, including confident use of IT systems such as Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel), email, and data entry tools.
  • Minimum NAT5 (or equivalent) in Mathematics.
  • Strong IT skills, with experience using Microsoft Business Central (training can be provided if required).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proactive, flexible, and willing to support wider business needs.
  • Comfortable working on the shop floor and engaging with operational teams

Additional Information:

  • Location: Clayton Glass, 6 James Street, Righead Industrial Estate, Bellshill, ML4 3LU
  • Working Hours: Monday – Thursday, 8:30am – 5:00pm, Friday 8.30am – 4.00pm (start and finish times negotiable)

39 hours per week

  • Salary: £12.21 per hour
