Papaya Global is a rapidly growing, award-winning B2B tech unicorn with an ambitious mission to revolutionize the payroll & payments industry. With over $400M raised from multiple tier-one investors, our innovative technology provides a comprehensive solution for managing global workforces, encompassing everything from hiring and onboarding to managing and paying employees in over 160 countries.
We're expanding our Integrations team and looking for an Integration Solutions Specialist who will lead customers through the setup, configuration, and validation of their integrations with Papaya. This role is a blend of data analysis, workflow design, technical onboarding, and customer-facing guidance - not a software development or coding role.
About the Role
As an Integration Solutions Specialist, you will help customers connect their HRIS, payroll, expenses, T&A, and finance systems to Papaya. You'll translate customer data structures into Papaya's integration tools, configure mapping and transformation logic, and guide customers through a smooth onboarding experience.
You will work with systems such as BambooHR, HiBob, SAP SuccessFactors, Namely, Workday, NetSuite, Expensify, and various file-based HR and payroll data sources.
This role sits at the intersection of data, product, and customer experience - perfect for someone who loves solving workflow challenges without writing code.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the technical onboarding for customer integrations, including data structure review, configuration setup, and validation.
- Work closely with customer HRIS, payroll, and IT teams to understand source systems, field mappings, and business workflows.
- Configure and test integrations between HRIS, payroll, expenses, time tracking, and ERP systems and the Papaya platform.
- Guide customers through Papaya's self-service integration tools, enabling them to manage routine changes independently.
- Diagnose and resolve data inconsistencies, transformation issues, and validation errors.
- Collaborate with Product, Support, and Engineering to resolve complex integration cases and prevent recurring issues.
- Provide product feedback based on customer experience to improve integration accuracy, speed, and usability.
- 3–5 years in an integration-focused role such as HRIS Integrations, Technical Implementation, Workflow Configuration, or Payroll Systems Specialist.
- Experience working with HRIS, payroll, ERP, or finance systems (BambooHR, HiBob, SAP SuccessFactors, Workday, Namely, NetSuite, etc.).
- Strong understanding of data structures, file formats (CSV, Excel), and mapping concepts.
- Comfortable reading API responses in Postman (no coding required).
- Ability to analyze logs and troubleshoot data issues (experience with DataDog/Coralogix/Splunk a plus).
- Familiarity with relational databases or basic SQL is an advantage but not mandatory.
- Excellent client-facing communication skills with the ability to break down technical topics clearly.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, able to manage multiple parallel customer integrations.
- Thrives in fast-paced, high-growth SaaS environments.
