On behalf of the MOD, we are looking for an Oracle Fusion Technical Delivery Manager (Inside IR35) for a 6 Month contract-based Hybrid/ 2 days in Bristol.
The Ministry of Defence (MOD) is a central government department with a mission to protect our country and provide the ultimate guarantee of its security and independence, as well as helping to protect its values and interests abroad.
The MOD is one of the biggest public procurement organisations in Europe and the single largest customer for UK industry. It currently manages approximately £20 billion of spend on capital investments in equipment and infrastructure every year. Over the next decade the MOD is committed to spending over £190 billion on equipment and support. The MOD's customers include both the armed forces and national security agencies, and it has a diverse range of requirements, including military fighting vehicles, education services, nuclear submarines and facilities management.
The MOD's aim is to provide its armed forces with the best capabilities to enable them to protect the UK's security and advance national interests, both now and in the long term.
To do this the MOD has an annual budget of almost £53 billion and a workforce comprising 197,000 people. of which 54,000 are civilians working for the UK MOD.
The work really matters; the MOD offers a range of engaging roles which have a direct impact on the quality of services they provide, in many locations across the UK. We support teams working in HR, Primary Health Care, Corporate Services, and many others.
As an Oracle Fusion Technical Delivery Manager, your main responsibilities will be:
The Ministry of Defence is looking to implement an Oracle Fusion solution to support the People (HR) and Finance functions utilising HCM and ERP technology. This role, within the Enterprise Architecture & Tech Delivery (EATD) Team will lead on the technical delivery aspects of this programme including, but not limited to:
* Ensuring EATD technical delivery plans and RAID materials for Oracle Fusion are produced and managed on JIRA.
* Supporting the development of the CSM Portfolio implementation plan.
* Aligning EATD plans with functional areas and business change.
* Ensuring alignment between functional and technical design activity and supporting data, analytics and integration activity.
* Being an active member of CSM governance fora to enable informed decision making.
* Supporting the CSM Strategic Commercial team in commercial activity relating to an Oracle Fusion solution (as required).
* Support the production of the future delivery and service models.
Essential:
* Experience of leading a large-scale technical delivery.
* Experience of delivering Oracle Fusion technologies (e.g., HCM & ERP)
* Ability to work in cross-functional teams.
* Experience of Government Digital Services ways of working.
* Delivery using Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
* Good planning, problem solving and organisational skills.
* Excellent communication skills - verbal and written.
* Good digital skills including proficiency in MS Office and Project Management and Agile tooling.
* Holds an Agile, APMP or Prince-2 qualification.
Desirable:
* Knowledge of MoD Functional Processes, Structures, Data and/or Systems or Corporate Service arrangements of similar complexity in the wider public or private sectors.
* Knowledge of Defence Business Services Operations.
* Managing Successful Programmes certified.
