Apprentice Barista

We are seeking a motivated Barista Apprentice to join our team. This role offers hands-on training in coffee preparation, customer service, and daily café operations under the supervision of experienced baristas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing and serving hot and cold beverages to a high standard.
- Learn to operate espresso machines, grinders, and other café equipment safely.
- Take customer orders and ensure friendly, efficient service.
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace, including washing dishes and equipment.
- Develop knowledge of coffee beans, brewing techniques, and drink recipes.
- Support colleagues during busy periods and contribute to a positive team environment.
Person Specification / Requirements:
- prior experience is required; full on-the-job training support is provided.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions.
- Flexible availability, including weekends and bank holidays.

To become an apprentice, you must:
- Be 16 or over
- Not already be in full-time education
As an apprentice you'll:
- Complete a food and beverage team member apprenticeship standard
- Have regular one to one sessions with a dedicated trainer either remotely or through visits to your workplace
- Learn and train for a specific job
- Get paid and receive holiday leave
- Get hands-on experience in a real job
- Study for at least 20% of your working hours
- Complete assessments during and at the end of your apprenticeship
- Be on a career path with lots of future potential
