This role is ideal for someone who enjoys connecting complex technical capabilities with commercial value, inspiring cross-functional alignment, and ensuring optimisation becomes a core growth driver for the company.If you thrive on solving complex payment challenges, shaping intelligent optimisation products, and communicating value with clarity and conviction, we’d love to hear from you.WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:Product Strategy & Commercial OwnershipDefine and drive the long-term strategy and roadmap for APEXX’s Optimisation and Orchestration suite, ensuring clear differentiation and customer value.Establish the commercial framework for optimisation, working with Finance, Sales, and Product Marketing to design value-based pricing models.Lead the evolution of optimisation from a capability into a scalable product line, influencing its positioning, packaging, and monetisation.Provide thought leadership across the organisation on the role of AI and data-driven optimisation in payments.Cross-Functional Collaboration & DeliveryPartner with Engineering and Data Science to develop AI/ML-powered optimisation features that improve authorisation, reduce cost, and drive measurable performance gains.Work closely with Sales, Relationship Management, and Marketing teams to articulate product value and support commercial success across the portfolio.Drive alignment across teams, ensuring strategic intent translates into customer-ready, high-impact product delivery.Customer Value, Growth & Commercial EnablementTranslate model performance and analytical insights into ROI-focused, commercially compelling narratives for customers and internal stakeholders.Enable Sales and Relationship Managers to position and sell optimisation as a premium, value-generating product.Be the Subject matter expert on Interchange and Scheme fee pricing and optimisation opportunities.Partner with customers to identify where data, AI, and automation can unlock incremental efficiency, acceptance rates, or cost reduction.Contribute directly to upsell and cross-sell opportunities, helping turn product performance into revenue growth.Product Excellence & Evidence Driven Decision MakingDefine success metrics, experimentation frameworks, and governance around optimisation performance.Promote strong product management discipline — discovery, validation, delivery, and measurement — across optimisation workstreams.Use data and evidence to balance strategic ambition with operational focus, ensuring decisions are measurable and outcomes are sustainable.ABOUT YOU:You have demonstrable experience in Product Management within Payments, with a proven record of leading and scaling complex, data-driven payment or financial products with clear commercial outcomes.You have deep understanding of payment transaction lifecycle, including authorisation, authentication (3DS), settlement, fraud, and chargebacks.You are an expert at understanding the detailed working knowledge of Interchange and Scheme fees and their application.You are commercially driven, able to craft value propositions and communicate financial impact confidently to senior and external audiences.You are an influencer, able to inspire cross-functional teams and align stakeholders around a common product vision.You think big picture, strategic yet hands-on, capable of operating at both portfolio and execution level in a fast-moving environment.WHY JOIN US:You’ll help shape the future of payments optimisation at APEXX building products that directly impact merchant performance and profitability.
