Locum Childcare Solicitor – London Local Authority – Remote working considered – Full TimeBe one of the first applicants, read the complete overview of the role below, then send your application for consideration.Venn Group is working in partnership with a forward-thinking and dedicated London Local Authority in their search for a Locum Childcare Solicitor for an initial 3 month assignment.DetailsJob Title: Childcare SolicitorHourly Rate: Negotiable depending upon experienceLength of Contract: 3 months initially, with high possibility for further extensionWorking Pattern: Full time – 36 hoursLocation: London Local AuthorityOffice Attendance: Weekly attendance preferred – fully remote applicants consideredDuties and ResponsibilitiesSupporting the Principal and Head of Legal, responsibilities will include:Providing specialist legal advice and guidance on childcare law to Members, Officers, and partner agenciesManaging a diverse caseload of routine and complex matters relating to children and young peopleDrafting and preparing legal documents, court submissions, and supporting materials for hearingsConducting legal research and keep the Council informed of legislative and case law developmentsSupporting senior colleagues on significant or politically sensitive cases within the childcare and safeguarding remitWorking collaboratively across departments to ensure timely, robust, and compliant decision-makingPreferred ExperienceQualified Solicitor, Barrister, or Fellow of CILEx entitled to practise in England and WalesProven experience advising on local authority duties and powers relating to children and young adultsStrong knowledge of childcare law, associated legislation, and case lawAwareness of local government processes and decision-making frameworks (desirable)Excellent communication, drafting, and negotiation skillsAbility to work with tact and professionalism on sensitive issuesComfortable operating within a digital and agile working environmentIf you are interested in this Childcare Solicitor role with this London Local Authority, please contact the London Legal Recruitment team on or email your CV to , and a member of our team will be in touch.Venn Group is an equal opportunities employment business and employment agency and welcomes applications from all candidates. xpwpeyx All salaries and PQE ranges stated serve only as a guide, and all applicants will be considered on their individual merits.#J-18808-Ljbffr
