They typically deliver activities as part of a direct or matrix team and support the delivery of professional or thought leadership.Key responsibilitiesLead the development and adoption of best practice engineering design standards and proceduresAnalyse and solve unique, complex and high impact problemsEngage with internal and external stakeholders to define requirements and design solutions to meet agreed specificationsDefine the future state architecture and contribute to the development of architectural strategy and roadmapPlan technical and architecture development and modifications and recommend process, product or service improvementsApply quality assurance processes to ensure that end-to-end technical designs and builds meet technical requirements and standardsIdentify and control technical risks and issuesProvide detailed documented technical solutions and reports for distribution both internally and externallyProvide technical expertise and guidance to the bid management process internal stakeholders and customersProvide technical leadership within the team, sharing knowledge and skills and providing mentoring support to engineers and techniciansQualificationsContinually develop expertise in emerging broadcast/media markets (IPTV, VOD, OTT, Interactive etc.)Suggest and develop strategic developments to the Playout and Media Management products in order to gain new business and improve customer serviceWhere necessary manage relationships with suppliers in implementation of development activitiesLead the integration of new technologies and systems into the Workflow/Content/Playout platformsRecognised internally and externally as a source of expertise in media management & playout technologies and systems and the potential solutions they may provide to existing customers and product roadmapsBe an expert in existing and emerging media/metadata formats and standardsInvestigate operational requirements and problems, seeking effective business solutions through improvements in automated and non-automated processesDesired knowledge and experienceSignificant knowledge in media management and playout technologyKnowledge of IP and IT technologies as they relate to media management and playoutWide knowledge of the broadcast industry, developments and trendsExperience of designing and delivering technical implementationsJob RequirementsArchitect , Media#J-18808-Ljbffr
