Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.Base pay rangeJob summaryThe Intelligence Division is at the heart of the Serious Fraud Office, responsible for sourcing and developing complex and high profile fraud and bribery investigations that only the SFO is equipped to investigate and prosecute.This is an important role that involves strong leadership, specialist knowledge, and strategic vision. You will work closely with other Heads of Division and the Executive Team in shaping your division and functions and delivering a pipeline of high value, complex and challenging investigations by exploiting all available intelligence opportunities with a view to securing evidence.Collaboration with partners, domestic and international, is essential and you will be expected to foster strong relationships to help progress the SFO’s priorities and influence and shape the national response to tackling serious economic crime.As well as the relevant technical and professional expertise required for this role, you will be a member of the SFO’s Senior Leadership Team. You will be expected to work with peers to identify improvements throughout the organisation and ensure your division is providing a first‑class service to other parts of the SFO, including ongoing support to investigations and prosecutions.You will role model and promote SFO values and behaviours, demonstrating strong leadership and a commitment to our Equity, Inclusion, and Diversity Plan as well as supporting the career development and wellbeing of your team.There may be a requirement for travel across both the UK and overseas, staying overnight as and when necessary.This is a great time to be joining the SFO, and this role provides an opportunity to be at the centre of our ambitious plans. If you have the technical skills and experience, leadership qualities, and the drive to deliver positive change and results, we want to hear from you.Key ResponsibilitiesProviding leadership, specialist knowledge and strategic direction to the Intelligence Division in order to achieve successful outcomes that are aligned with the SFO Strategy and Business Plan.Acting as part of the overall governance structure in the management and direction of intelligence acquisition, analysis, handling and development.Engaging with national and international stakeholders and building mutually beneficial relationships across Government, law enforcement partners and the private sector to ensure effective and lawful multi‑agency liaison, information sharing and collaboration.Managing divisional performance to ensure a consistently high quality of delivery, meeting performance targets in line with agreed standards.Promoting diversity and inclusion in the workplace and role‑modeling the organisation’s values and behaviours.Being accountable for the efficient management and control of divisional financial and staffing resources.Being a proactive member of the Senior Leadership Team, identifying opportunities to improve how the SFO operates, and developing, and formulating policy and operational strategy.Person specificationSuccessful candidates must be able to demonstrate each of the following:Significant and demonstrable operational experience of leading teams at senior intelligence professional or investigator level tackling serious or complex crime in a multi‑disciplinary environment.Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to engage staff at all levels.Demonstrable experience of leading proactive and covert operations, together with good understanding of RIPA 2000 and IPA 2016, including covert human intelligence sources within a prosecutorial environment.Skilled at managing sensitive relationships with demonstrable evidence of negotiating and influencing within and across organisational boundaries.Evidence of creating and encouraging a culture of initiative, flexibility and accountability to respond to changing priorities.Demonstrable commitment to promoting diversity, inclusion and wellbeing in the workplace.Experience of working in the criminal justice system and with prosecutors.Understanding of the application of the National Intelligence Model (NIM) in covert policing, counterterrorism, organised crime or cybercrime intelligence.Seniority levelDirectorEmployment typeFull‑timeJob functionOtherIndustriesGovernment Administration#J-18808-Ljbffr
