Their highly experienced teams deliver comprehensive financial and regulatory support, providing a dynamic and collaborative environment for professionals looking to enhance their expertise in private equity fund structures.Position ProfileThe successful individual will play a key role in providing accurate financial reporting and fund accounting services to a diverse portfolio of private equity and alternative investment funds. The successful candidate will work closely with fund managers and investors, overseeing the preparation of financial statements, management accounts, and investor reporting. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant seeking to develop their career within private equity, gaining exposure to complex fund structures and investment strategies.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare quarterly management accounts and financial forecasts, maintaining direct client engagementAssist with investor capital calls, drawdowns, and distributions, ensuring accuracy and complianceProduce statutory accounts for various private equity fund structures, including limited partnerships and special purpose vehiclesEnsure timely and accurate submission of VAT returns and adherence to regulatory requirementsReview bank reconciliations, expense reports, and payment authorisations prepared by junior accountantsCollaborate with auditors and tax advisors to support the completion of annual accounts and filingsProvide insights and financial analysis to clients, ensuring strong governance and best practices are maintainedContribute to the improvement of internal systems, processes, and documentation to enhance operational efficiencyPerson ProfileRecently qualified or 2-3 years post-qualified accountant (CA, ACCA, CIMA)Strong understanding of or interest in private equity fund accountingExperience of management accounting and/or financial reportingDetail-oriented, proactive, and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectivelyConfident in engaging with clients and senior stakeholdersFamiliarity with financial software such as Microsoft 365, Xero and other similar systemsBenefits£45,000 - £55,000 per annum (depending on experience)Bonus - performance based (c.10% per annum)Annual leave: Generous entitlement, including public holidaysPrivate healthcare for employees, with optional cover for family membersSalary protection and life cover benefitsCareer development opportunities within a highly respected firmThe role is based in Edinburgh city Centre and is easily accessible via public transport.How to ApplyIf you would like to learn more about this opportunity, please reach out to W&A for a private and confidential discussion about the role and your current circumstances.Alternatively, please apply, and we will be in touch.Seniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionFinanceIndustriesStaffing and Recruiting #J-18808-Ljbffr
