OverviewVerisk Edinburgh, United Kingdom is seeking a Management Accountant to produce accurate and timely management accounts, ensure strong financial control, and support decision‑making through insightful analysis. The role will primarily focus on IUPR, with involvement in wider finance initiatives group‑wide.ResponsibilitiesManagement Reporting: Prepare monthly management accounts (P&L, Balance Sheet, supporting schedules) with integrity and completeness.Budgeting & Forecasting: Support budgets and forecasts across revenue, expenses, headcount, and CAPEX with variance analysis and commentary.Revenue & Cost Analysis: Ensure accurate revenue recognition, monitor cost drivers, perform variance analysis.Expense Management: Analyse expenditure, identify risks and efficiency opportunities.Accounts Receivable: Conduct AR and bad debt reviews; lead AR and debt collection processes.Process Efficiency & Standardisation: Drive standardisation and efficiency across finance operations.General Ledger & Journal Entries: Prepare, reconcile, and review GL, balance sheets, and journal entries monthly.Audit & Compliance: Support internal/external audits; ensure compliance with statutory requirements and SOX controls.Cross‑Functional Support: Partner with business teams and group finance to provide financial insight and consistent reporting.Continuous Improvement: Champion improvements to processes, systems, and controls.Ad‑Hoc Analysis: Provide ad‑hoc financial reporting and analysis for management decision‑making.Additional Duties: Perform other duties commensurate with role.Process & Systems Improvement: Contribute to financial systems and process improvements.QualificationsACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified (or equivalent) with 2+ years post‑qualification experienceProven experience as Management Accountant, Financial Analyst, or similarHands‑on experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecastingStrong Excel skills and experience with financial systems (e.g., Oracle Fusion)Solid understanding of management accounting principles and variance analysisAbility to produce accurate and insightful management information for stakeholdersCollaborative working style across finance and non‑finance teamsProficiency with core MS Office including Word, Excel, PowerPointAbout UsFor over 50 years, Verisk has been the leading data analytics and technology partner to the global insurance industry.
