About this Role Clean Energy Ventures is looking for a diligent and motivated Analyst to join their dynamic investment team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting deal flow and due diligence processes, crucial elements in expanding the firm’s investment portfolio within the climate tech market. This role demands active engagement with industry experts, entrepreneurs, and investors to effectively evaluate potential investment opportunities. As an Analyst, you will contribute to refining the firm’s investment models and strategies, ensuring alignment with both current market trends and Clean Energy Ventures’ strategic objectives. You will play an integral role in raising the firm’s profile within the VC ecosystem, aided by your strong research acumen and ability to communicate complex ideas clearly. Responsibilities Support the sourcing of new investment opportunities that meet Clean Energy Ventures’ criteria across North America and Europe. Represent the firm at industry and networking events to enhance deal flow and reputation. Participate in due diligence efforts, providing support for financial, competitive, and market analysis. Manage and participate actively in the deal pipeline, screening, and scouting processes. Coordinate investment group meetings and support the investment team effectively. Develop and revise financial and investment models to support the firm and portfolio companies. Contribute proactive recommendations for process improvements and new areas of investigation. Participate in roadmapping and research exercises to refine the firm’s investment thesis. Requirements Passionate about solving climate change and being a good steward of the environment. Experience in conducting financial or climate/GHG analysis on new technologies. Proficiency in Excel and experience in financial analysis, business modeling. Understanding of several sub-sectors within climate tech. Team-oriented with high emotional intelligence and integrity. Growing network in the climate tech or energy sectors. Possess several years of professional experience or an advanced degree.
