A vacancy has arisen in the Neonatal Unit, Victoria Hospital, Kirkcaldy for a Band 5 Staff Nurse. (Registered Child Branch) We are a Local Neonatal Unit, consisting of 4 ITU, 2 High Dependency and 11 Special Care cots.At present we have 4 qualified Advanced Neonatal Nurse Practitioners in post and 2 trainee ANNPS. We are a forward thinking unit. The successful candidate will be given the opportunity to undertake Foundations in Neonatal Care modules. We are looking for enthusiastic, motivated individuals to join our team of staff. You must possess excellent communication skills, and be able to work within the team as well as on your own initiative. You will be expected to deliver a high standard of care and use a holistic approach to family centred care. An up to date knowledge of evidence based practise and a commitment to the delivery of clinically effective care within neonates is essential. You must have a recognised clinical qualification and evidence of on-going professional development. An NMC pin is required for this post. Flying Start should have been commenced on qualifying. A requirement of this post is to become a member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme Prior to appointment.
