Academics are seeking a SEN Teaching Assistant to join a warm and inclusive primary school in Waltham Forest, London. This SEN Teaching Assistant position is a full-time, long-term opportunity working 1:1 with a children in KS1, starting ASAP or January 2026.

The school in Waltham Forest, London is looking for a caring, motivated, and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant who can provide consistent support, build positive relationships, and help the child thrive within the classroom. While experience is preferred, the school is very open to graduates who are passionate about working with children or pursuing a career in education.

Start Date: ASAP or January 2026
Pay Rate: £89-£110 per day (depending on experience)
Contract: Full-time, long-term
Year Group: Year 1 & Year 2 - KS1 (1:1 support)
Teacher training available from September 2026As an SEN Teaching Assistant in Waltham Forest, London, you will:

Support the learning, development, and well-being of a child in Year 1 with additional needs
Be timetabled to work with children across KS1 delivering interventions and 1:1 support
Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement tailored strategies
Create an encouraging and inclusive environment
Help promote independence, confidence, and positive learning habits
Contribute to the wider school community in Waltham Forest, London
Receive excellent education and training opportunitiesThis is an excellent opportunity for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant or a committed graduate keen to build a meaningful career in education.
