You will help the IT department to deliver its financial goals including setting budgets, forecasting and project reporting. The role requires collaboration with multiple departments (e.g. Finance, IT, HR, Procurement) so that you can deliver world-class financial insight while meeting tight deadlines. This role would be ideal for a newly or recently qualified accountant looking to take the next step on their Finance Business Partner career. ResponsibilitiesRM Plc are looking for a qualified accountant looking to continue their career as a Financial Business Partner. We\'re looking for someone to work for our Operations Finance Director while partnering with our central functions (HR, IT, Legal, etc.), an area of the business undergoing significant investment and operational change in the coming years. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to build on their existing stakeholder management as well as their financial skills and data skills.Business Partner for central functions within our Corporate DivisionSimplify finance processes and build new reports to ensure that the heads of the central functions and the Operations Finance Director have quality insightful data and analysis in a timely manner.Work with the heads of the central functions and colleagues in Procurement and the HR Business Partners to drive business performance.Monthly reporting packsProduce and review monthly reporting including monthly forecastsP&L reviews with FDBalanced ScorecardMonthly Budget Holder performance reviews, i.e. cost centre reviews.Further improve, automate and simplify production of MILead & carry out monthly Forecasting and annual budgetingLiaise with India and IT to enhance models to the specifications of the Operations Finance Director and heads of the central functionsEnable monthly reviews with cost centre/functional cost owners to review actuals and to forecast cost requirementsProjectsSupport with IT business case preparation and capitalisation decisionsProduce IT project reporting to review project performanceExperienceQualified accountantCompetent/ strong in ExcelGood organisational skills and a focus on timely deliverablesHighly numerate with an attention to detail and able to convey complex problems in a way that people can understand and act uponBe a positive and enthusiastic influence playing a big role in driving the business on to achieve its goalsAn understanding of IAS 38Experience of working in costs management preferably with IT or related experience from practicePower BI experience desirableUnderstanding a variety of ERPs is desirableAbove all someone who is willing to grow and advance into the above, we do not necessarily expect any candidate to meet 100% of the requirements when they first startCommunication skills: able to clearly and effectively communicate with colleagues, clients and stakeholders.
