Location : Richmond, TW2 7SGPermanent – hours per week, Monday to FridaySalary : Competitive salary +benefits + company carReady to make an impact?As a Contract Manager in the Waste and Recycling team at our Richmond-based depot, you’ll lead and manage the performance of an outsourced, local authority contract portfolio. That includes industry-specific training, courses, and clear career development paths, all designed to ensure your ongoing success and a lasting, fulfilling career with Serco.You’ll be entrusted to :Lead, manage, and be responsible for the performance of the contractChampion continuous improvement and contract growth processesSeek opportunities to increase and introduce new servicesEnsure KPI performance requirements are metDrive for change and innovation in the contract to meet future challengesDevelop and maintain effective relationships with stakeholdersProduce management reports and manage staff and equipmentOversee the absence and welfare of all employeesIdentify commercial planning requirements and opportunitiesImplement exemplary service standards and monitor service deliveryEnsure all employees receive the required training and career development plansMonitor financial and operational performance to ensure cost-effectiveness and efficiencyDoes this sound like you?You’ll be a great fit for this role if you have :Experience as a Contract Manager or Operations ManagerExperience managing a large blue-collar workforce, preferably in Environmental Services or Grounds MaintenanceStrategic leadership skills and the ability to make sound data-based business decisionsExperience managing relationships with trade union representatives and Local Authority clientsExperience in business development, transformation, and project managementStrong communication skills to inspire and engage othersA hands‑on approach and visibility with the workforceIt’s also desirable - but not essential - to hold a Management degree or level 5 qualification, or a Transport Manager Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC).Because this is a place for youOur people are integral to everything we do.
