We offer you not only a job, but an inspiring journey in a truly global environment where you team up to break down boundaries thanks to the collaboration, creativity and pioneer spirit which drive our people.Job PurposeThe Project Quality Engineer will fulfil a key and critical role on a number of major FEED and EPC projects; liaising with clients, JV partners, suppliers, subcontractors and certifying authorities as required and supporting management in all matters related to Quality. You will develop, maintain, and verify implementation of the project quality assurance programmes / plans and establish project QMS processes. There is the potential for this role to be a full or part‑time contract role dependent upon availability and project lifecycle requirements.THIS ROLE WILL REQUIRE CLIENT INTERVIEW AND ACCEPTANCE.Key ResponsibilitiesDirect quality activities, communicating with engineering, procurement, and construction, admin services, test, operations and other project personnel to ensure management goals and objectives are met.Coordinate the preparation and establishment of the Quality Plan and Assurance Plan within the project.Support a quality mindset and embed right first time principles with personnel assigned to the projects.Manage and conduct the proactive project auditing programme to verify the effectiveness of the project quality plan.Maintain client liaison, quality reporting and communication for project quality assurance related activities.Represent the project(s) during quality assurance audits conducted by the client, management, or regulatory agencies.Review project schedules for quality related activities to ensure timely and effective implementation of the project quality programme / plan.Identify quality problems, initiate documented action and verify implementation of solutions.Monitor for changes to scope or other aspects which could impact the project quality assurance budget.Prepare reports on the effectiveness of the project quality management system implementation.Proactively interact and informally influence project leads to ensure that Quality matters are effectively managed according to Genesis standards and expectations.Promote a Quality culture in the office, ensuring implementation of best practices and continuous improvement of Genesis standards and systems.Provide training & awareness on project quality activities.Help in defining project objectives and metrics (KPI), ensure reporting for quality objectives are in place, analyse performance, propose corrective or improvement actions as needed.Lead or participate in investigations to resolve quality issues, conducting root cause analysis, recommending corrective actions and ensuring they are effectively executed.Act as the focal point for project regulatory communications pertaining to quality activities.Continuously review, update and create procedures for all quality related tasks.Ensure that all new employees within the office and / or on site have the necessary quality induction / awareness training.Typical Background and Experience RequiredExtensive experience in petrochemical and related energy industries.Extensive experience of applying the principles of ISO 9001 across multi centred project locations and across varying phases of design and execute works.Experience gained within an Engineering design house / Consultancy is seen as an advantage.Knowledge of requirements of other disciplines involved in the procurement, design, and installation of equipment.Minimum QualificationsMembership of the CQI or equivalentIRCA Registered Lead Auditor or equivalentSignificant experience of at least 10 years in heavy industrial or engineering projectsBoth FEED and EPC experienceExperienceTechnical knowledge in the application of engineering, environmental, procurement, construction, inspection, testing, certification or operation practices, sufficient to comprehend specified requirements is desired.Engineering degree from an accredited university is desired.
