Join to apply for the Infrastructure Engineer - Consulting role at Razorblue Group Overview We are looking for an Infrastructure Engineer – Consulting to join our growing team of like-minded tech people. Your responsibilities will encompass delivering real-world solutions that make a difference for our clients. You’ll get involved in everything from project planning through to delivery and handover, all while working alongside a supportive and knowledgeable team. Typical projects include a mix of on-premise and cloud work. You might be configuring new cloud services, migrating Microsoft 365 environments, deploying or upgrading virtual servers, installing and securing firewalls, setting up VPNs, or implementing backup and disaster recovery solutions. There’s plenty of variety, and you’ll often be hands‑on with new technologies, helping clients modernise their systems and improve reliability, performance, and security. Responsibilities Project Delivery (80%) Delivering implementation projects that meet scope, budget, and time targets Producing clear, professional documentation to support both clients and internal teams Managing effective handovers to Service Delivery to ensure a seamless transition Implementing new technologies that add real value to client environments Project Planning (20%) Scoping and planning successful projects Our perfect candidate should have a wealth of knowledge spanning various technologies and be able to use these skills to troubleshoot and deliver five‑star solutions that keep our clients happy. This role involves some evening and weekend work when projects or customer requirements call for it. You’ll need to be comfortable with a bit of flexibility and understand that sometimes the best time to deliver or cut over a system is outside of standard business hours. Customer service is paramount to us, which is why we only look for candidates with excellent customer‑facing skills and the ability to communicate effectively. Qualifications Qualifications – Relevant networking, infrastructure and Microsoft qualifications (CCNA, JNCP, MCSA, VCP) Cloud – Experience with public and private cloud such as AWS and Azure Virtualisation – Maintaining and updating VMware vSphere and Hyper‑V environments, including replication and failover Security – Experience with MDM, MFA, Email Filtering, Next Generation firewalls and antivirus solutions Windows Server – Installation and configuration Storage – Maintaining, updating, troubleshooting SAN devices; configuring iSCSI connectivity; managing and troubleshooting clusters Remote Desktop Services – Experience supporting and troubleshooting RDS, RemoteApp and Citrix environments (on‑prem and cloud) Endpoint Support – Experience with Windows desktop, application, tablet and mobile device support Soft Skills – Effective communication; methodical approach to diagnosis and documentation; independent research; organisation and prioritisation; full clean UK driving license Continuous learning and development are central to our culture, and we heavily invest in elevating our people, not just hiring those already at an expert level.
