Are you ready for the next challenge? Then you’ll be delighted to hear about this Infrastructure Coordinator Role with NHS Greater Manchester Integrated Care (NHS GM).
We are seeking a highly motivated and approachable individual to join an existing team of Infrastructure Engineers responsible for the support of the 3rd line Infrastructure teams across of the one the largest private NHS cloud networks across Greater Manchester.
In addition to the core of the role the post holder will support the wider Infrastructure Team with tasks from housekeeping/admin & troubleshooting tickets.
NHS Greater Manchester Integrated Care (NHS GM) works in partnership with healthcare commissioners, healthcare providers, local authorities and others, to enable excellence in the commissioning and delivery of healthcare services. Specifically, to this role, NHS GM are responsible for the Network, Telephony, Data Centre and Active Directory management within Greater Manchester.
In February 2021 the Government announced a number of new measures as part of a proposed Health and Care Bill, including the creation of statutory Integrated Care Systems(ICSs).
In Greater Manchester we have been working as an ICS for the last five years - with strong working partnerships between health and social care and the voluntary sector. The creation of a statutory ICS will formalise the arrangementswe have in place and mark another positive step in our journey, which started with the health and care devolution deal in 2015. The statutory ICS will include a new ICS NHS Body and Health and Care Partnership Board.
To support the Infrastructure Team by processing priority 1 and priority 2 incidents raised by the IT Service Desk and checking that they meet the mínimal required data set, contacting the customer if required to confirm status/information.
- In addition referring incidents/requests to a 3rd party, if capacity allows and allocating the incident to the Network & Telecoms or Data Centre team members to action.
- Incident management of tickets for the Infrastructure Team where multiple incidents have been raised including being point of contact for major incidents.
- Allocate tickets within the team from Service Now queue to manage team workload and ensure locality queues are monitored and SLA targets are met.
- Deal with customers who may become agitated and verbally aggressive. The post holder will have the ability to calm situations or refer them to an Engineer Lead or the Infrastructure Manager where appropriate.
- Use remote access tools, have the ability to detect, diagnose and resolve a high level of customer issues where workload permits to triage calls before allocating to the wider team.
