OverviewJoin to apply for the Bid Manager role at Barnett Waddingham.This is a permanent position with hybrid working across 10 UK office locations (Birmingham, Leeds, Liverpool, London, Glasgow, Cheltenham, Bristol, Amersham, Guildford) with quarterly travel to Birmingham.Perhaps you are a Bids Coordinator or Assistant seeking the next step or perhaps you're an experienced Bid Manager, we would love to hear from you either way.We can fund you through Association of Proposal Management Professionals (APMP) or Capture Planning certification, and moreResponsibilitiesFully owning and taking responsibility for tender projectsEnsuring the production of Pre-Qualification Questionnaires (PQQs), Invitations to Tenders (ITTs) and Presentations in accordance with agreed deadlines and carrying out research and capturing information to facilitate the completion of tendersWorking with the Bid Designer to produce a high quality bid response documentEnsuring win themes are developed that meet the client’s objectives and Barnett Waddingham propositionStoryboard and outlining with the team to provide a ‘golden thread’ throughout the tenderIdentify and re-work existing pre-written content where relevantDeliver completed written proposal responses to the Head of Bid Management against agreed RFP deadlines, escalating issues as requiredRe-write / edit proposal responses from a variety of stakeholders, typically involving contributions from sales, marketing, technical / product teams, finance, commercial, legal and deliveryProactively gaining testimonials where examples of good work is highlighted and proactively identifying areas of tender improvementMaintain APMP knowledge and best practiceWhat we would love to hear from youPrevious experience in a similar Bid role and experience working in a professional services environment would be advantageous.Proven skills in producing and editing proposal content within a complex business environment.Experience leading storyboarding sessions, participating in key review meetings/final document review, content sign off and document production.Experience coordinating and updating a work management system and Bid Library is beneficial.A relevant qualification, supported by an APMP accreditation is preferable but not essential.Must be a self-starter, highly organised, and able to work well with colleagues at all levels in the organisation.Excellent time management/prioritization skills as well as Tender Management are essential for this role.Professional services experience is beneficial; Pension experience is a real benefit.Excellent attention to detail and meticulous proofreading skills are required.What’s in it for youCompetitive discretionary annual bonus and salary reviewFunded training and professional developmentCore benefits including private medical cover, life assurance, group income protection, and up to 30 days holiday per year with holiday tradingA comprehensive range of voluntary benefits including electric car leasing scheme, tech scheme, cycle to work, dental cover, healthcare cash plan, health assessments, critical illness cover, Sports Allowance (up to 50% of gym/sports membership up to £50 pm), travel insurance, paid volunteering, and retailer discountsAccessibility: We are a Disability Confident Employer.
