You must already have the Right to Work in the United Kingdom ***Radfield Home Care Shrewsbury & Oswestry are looking for Live in Care Professionals who are passionate about caring for people in their community. Importantly, in this very specialised, but highly rewarding role, you will enable our clients to continue living in their own homes, as an alternative to a residential care home.Your Roles & Responsibilities as a Live in Care Professional:As a Live in Care Professional, you will be living with one of our clients for *2 weeks* at a time, you may even be supporting a couple in their home – and you’ll be there to provide excellent care for extended periods of time. You are there to be a companion and to assist your client day to day, but also to help them remain independent in their own homeAssisting with administration of medicationManual handling, using equipment where requiredPromoting health and well-being with clients, enabling them to live their life to their full potentialHousehold tasks & cleaningProviding personal careMeal preparationShoppingAssisting taking clients to social eventsOffering our clients companionshipYour Experience and Suitability for the Live in Care Professional Role:Previous experience in Live In Care is required for this position. You will be introduced to your client over a period of time to acclimatise and to get to know one another. Live in care is a big commitment, and different to other types of employment, in that you would be spending 2 weeks at a time with a client, with the same amount of time off.Our Live in Care Professionals benefit from:Competitive rates of £900 - £1100 per week (dependent on complexity of care needs)A weekly £50 food allowanceAccess to Blue Light Card & Blue Light TicketsOngoing training and supportRegular, scheduled daily and weekly breaks, where you can come and go from a clients homeA defined schedule of time working vs. downtime during each dayThis post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.
