As a Bid & Proposal Coordinator Apprentice, you’ll gain hands-on experience while working towards a Level 3 apprenticeship.Your journeyAs a Bid and Proposal Coordinator Apprentice, you'll embark on a 24-month journey to become an expert in creating compelling proposals. This is a structured learning experience that includes dedicated study time with an external training provider, hands-on mentoring, and a hybrid working model with time in our Bristol office to support your learning and development.Key responsibilitiesWork as part of the Bid and Frameworks team to support opportunities from the early stages of presales through to submission.Assist with planning activities, managing timelines, and ensuring all documentation for bid responses is well-structured, compliant, and submitted on time.Help maintain and update knowledge management systems; support and contribute to bid, framework, and pipeline records.Learn how public sector procurement works and how to align bids with customer needs.Lead cross-functional teams to create persuasive, specific, and engaging proposals; contribute to writing quality and inspire colleagues.Skills, knowledge and expertiseOrganised, detail-oriented, and capable of building relationships with colleagues and senior leaders.No prior bids or corporate experience required; a strong passion for writing is essential.At least six months of experience working with customers in any field (e.g., retail, hospitality, or customer service).Comfortable learning new systems; strong written and verbal communication skills.Enthusiastic, curious, and motivated to build a career in bids and proposals; able to work in a team with an interest in public sector services, technology, or business development.Advanced skills or experience with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace; commitment to undertaking the 15-18 month learning program.Essential requirementsApplicants must be 18 years and older at the time of starting the program (funding requirement).Applicants must be residing in England.Applicants must not be currently employed or taking part in any other apprenticeship or government-funded programme.Applicants must hold an English GCSE at grade B/5 and Maths GCSE at grade C/4 or above, or equivalent functional skills level 2 (minimum requirement).Must not hold a qualification at the same or higher level in the same occupational area or similar subject.Apprenticeship detailsProgramme: Level 3 Bid & Proposal CoordinatorDuration: 24 monthsTraining: Structured learning via an external training provider, including dedicated study timeSupport: Hands-on mentoring and hybrid working, with time in our Bristol office to support learningNext stepsSelected applicants will be invited to a short written task.Then invited to a short virtual screening.If successful after the virtual screening, invited to Made Tech assessment day.Before the assessment day, a virtual drop-in session will be held.Benefits and cultureLife at Made Tech: commitment to a happy, inclusive and diverse workforce; access to blog and groups discussing mental health, neurodiversity, and client work.Groups in Slack for community and support (e.g., antiracist-activists, disability, LGBTQIA+ allies, neurodiversity, parents-carers, women-in-tech).Flexible benefits platform including Smart Tech, Cycle to work, and an individual benefits allowance (healthcare cash plan or Pension).Flexible working hours, remote working options, paid counselling, and additional well-being initiatives.Location: Bristol, UKEmployment type: Apprenticeship • Workplace type: Hybrid • Compensation: £26,000/yearApply now to join Made Tech and help use technology to improve society.
