This role offers flexibility and the opportunity to work across a wide range of transactional and non-contentious corporate matters while contributing to business development initiatives.The RoleThe successful candidate will work on a broad corporate caseload, including:Mergers, acquisitions, and buyoutsCorporate restructures and company setupsCorporate governance matters, including shareholders, members, and options agreementsFranchise acquisition, sale, and developmentDistribution agreementsIntellectual property mattersShareholder, director, and investor rightsCorporate finance and data protectionExperience inconstruction law, charity law, or consumer law (including consumer credit)would be advantageous.You will also work in line with the departments Marketing Policy to enhance the reputation of the corporate team and develop new business opportunities.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain high levels of service for existing clientsDevelop the corporate department in line with marketing policyProduce fee income in line with targets and objectivesMaintain and enhance up-to-date legal skillsFinancial control of caseload, including billing and cash flow managementPerform fee-earning work accurately and reliably, in accordance with company quality and risk proceduresPerson SpecificationEssentialQualified solicitor with experience managing a busy corporate caseloadBroad experience across mainstream corporate mattersGood computer literacy, including case management systemsAbility to work independently and manage own caseloadStrong planning and organisational skillsUnderstanding of AML Regulations and Solicitors Account RulesExcellent communication skillsClient relationship management and development skillsDesire to provide a high-quality serviceMarketing and business development experiencePresentation and public speaking skillsDesirableExperience in construction law, charity law, or consumer law (including consumer credit)AttributesProactive and positive attitudeAbility to work well under pressure and meet deadlinesHigh level of integrityHardworking and client-focusedBenefitsGenerous holiday entitlementStaff discount on legal and wealth management feesIncome protectionLife assurance (3x salary)Salary Exchange Pension Scheme optionEmployee Assistance Programme #J-18808-Ljbffr
