A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for an Accountant who will support the Senior Accountant with the responsibility for Place and Central Services. This will include the preparation of budgets and monitoring support to budget holders and senior management.The role will also include providing professional financial advice and support to the service areas, enabling them to understand financial implications and how this information is a key part of the decision making process.You will provide essential support in assessing service budget pressures to ensure that they are reflected in the Medium Term Financial Plan.The role is ideal for an enthusiastic, highly motivated and professional individual who is suitably qualified or equivalent in terms of experience, with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with service managers and external partners.Trafford Council and its partners in the public, private and third sectors have a Vision which sees us working together to close inequality gaps and maximise Trafford's huge potential.Our vision: Trafford where all our residents, businesses and communities thrive.Trafford is a lively, prosperous place to put down roots and build a career.
