Hours: Full time - 37 hours per week Location: The role will be based at either Dorchester Support Offices, Poundbury or Salisbury with the flexibility to work from home / DWFRS Stations / Support Offices. Travel: Significant travel across the Service, in particular to Christchurch, Springbourne, Ferndown, Verwood, Poole, Hamworthy, Swanage and Wareham. Responsibilities Develop relationships with, and support managers within the Service to implement best practice, delivering objectives and enabling business plan execution. Provide advice, support and guidance on employee relations issues such as conflict resolution, mediation, investigation, disciplinary, grievance, capability and attendance/sickness issues, flexible working, maternity/paternity matters, redundancy, job design and restructures. Ensure line managers effectively apply HR policies and procedures, keeping them up to date and consistently applied. Support key stakeholders in leadership development, coaching, performance management and succession planning. Why You Are Ideal Qualified member level of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development (MCIPD) or demonstrable graduate‑level experience at this level. Previous business‑partner experience providing HR support and advice on a wide range of employee relations and HR matters. Up‑to‑date knowledge of employment legislation and experience applying it to advise on best practice, minimising organisational risk. Ability to build and maintain strong, professional, credible relationships at all organisational levels. Other Information Full current driving licence required; role involves significant travel and use of own vehicle (Service vehicle manual transmission may be provided). Some evening working to support operational staff at drill nights. If applying for a secondment, notify your substantive line manager at the earliest opportunity.
