This is not just a desk job, it’s a vital role that ensures smooth, accurate, and compliant dispensing of veterinary medicines. What will you be doing? As our Admin Assistant, you will be the backbone of our Vets/Pets dispensary operations. Your primary focus will be on ensuring a high degree of attention to detail in all administrative tasks and providing professional communication to our stakeholders. Key duties include, but are not limited to: Precise Order Administration: Carefully managing and processing prescription orders, ensuring all documentation is accurate, compliant, and correctly processed. Professional Communication: Acting as the primary point of contact for internal and external parties, engaging confidently with Vet surgeries and our valued customers via email and on the telephone. Query Management: Promptly and professionally answering inbound calls and emails, resolving queries related to orders, prescriptions, and general administration. Compliance Support: Maintaining administrative control of prescriptions, dispensing records, and documentation according to company objectives and regulatory procedures. Customer Care: Ensuring customers are kept informed about their order status and addressing any concerns with empathy and professionalism, escalating complex issues as needed. What do you need? To excel as our Admin Assistant, you will possess the following essential qualities and skills: Exceptional Attention to Detail: An ability to maintain precision and accuracy in data entry and administrative tasks. Outstanding Communication Skills: Confident and articulate telephone manner and highly professional written communication skills (email). Organisational Excellence: The ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain meticulous records, and work efficiently under pressure. IT Proficiency: A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and the ability to learn bespoke dispensary and communication software. Team Flexibility: A willingness to support other dispensary functions and colleagues when required. The successful candidate will work 36 hours on a fixed Term Contract, Monday 9.00-5.30, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday 9.30am - 5.00pm Why work for us?
