Salary: 24,000 + Commission Full time or Part time: Full Time Job Description Company Overview: Square Balloon is a pioneering software development company that specialises in creating innovative and user-friendly solutions for a diverse client base. As we expand our operations, we are currently seeking a highly motivated Business Development Officer to help grow our software development division. Square Balloon also offer website development, design, branding and marketing services. Experience in selling those products would also be helpful. Job Location: Essex & London Reports To: Business Owner Key Responsibilities Lead Generation: Identify and qualify new business opportunities in the software development sector through networking, cold calls, and market research. Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients, understanding their needs and offering tailored solutions. Proposal Development: Prepare compelling proposals, presentations, and RFP/RFQ responses for software development projects. Sales Strategy: Work closely with the marketing and product teams to develop and implement effective sales strategies. Revenue Growth: Meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales targets for the software development division. Negotiation: Effectively negotiate contracts to secure profitable deals. Market Intelligence: Keep up-to-date with industry trends, competitors, and emerging technologies to inform business development strategies. Reporting: Generate regular reports on sales activities, revenue projections, and client feedback to senior management. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field. A minimum of 3 years experience in business development, preferably in the software development industry. Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets. Strong understanding of software development processes and technologies. Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Personal Attributes Self-starter with a high level of initiative. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport quickly. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Highly organised with excellent time-management skills. Adept at working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
