IT Infrastructure and Cloud Manager ABTA Greater London, England, United Kingdom Purpose of Role: Responsible for the secure and effective operation of all ABTA’s IT infrastructure, software and allied systems to enable ABTA to deliver its business plan and fulfil user requirements. Duties: Manage, support and maintain ABTA’s infrastructure including hardware, networks and software systems, ensuring effective and efficient operation and appropriate licensing and support is in place Line management of IT Service Desk Engineer and oversee ABTA's helpdesk team Participation in ABTA’s incident management plan and response Provide input into architectural decision making alongside the IT team Ensure ABTA’s IT infrastructure and data are backed up, secure and compliant with regulations including GDPR. Liaise with third party system providers to ensure services provided to ABTA are also secure and compliant with GDPR Supplier management and regular testing of ABTA’s IT security Work with ABTA’s Data Protection Officer to implement and report on data security policies Plan, document and test in respect of disaster recovery and business continuity Develop ABTA’s telephony (including mobile phones). Build and maintain supplier relationships and plan the effective purchase of hardware and software licences across multiple years. Elicit requirements from ABTA to assist with vendor selection and procurement. Manage and maintain good quality documentation on the IT infrastructure, equipment, manuals and risk management Work with the wider Operations team and ABTA departments to ensure systems and functionality are documented and full training and support mechanisms are in place during handover Keep up to date with new technology and act in alignment with user needs and system functionality which may support or enhance ABTA’s operations Retain flexibility to support special projects/activities which may be required by the business Support the rest of the IT team as required. Skills and experience: Microsoft certified at Associate level in Azure, Microsoft 365 or Microsoft Security Proven working experience as an IT Infrastructure manager or relevant experience with a Microsoft hybrid environment (Entra, Intune and Azure) Proven experience in running IT infrastructure projects and the associated organisation change, such as file migration to Microsoft 365, email protection platforms and migration of legacy applications to Azure Excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis and of computer hardware/software systems including Microsoft Azure and 365 cloud services operating in a hybrid environment Hands on experience with computer networks (switching, routing and security appliances, network administration and network installation) Ability to think strategically and execute tactically Ability to gain credibility and drive through initiatives with colleagues across ABTA Experienced in developing and monitoring IT policy and procedures Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, at all levels, both written and verbal Our values Be ThereWe are always ready and prepared to help our members, customers and colleagues with a positive attitude.
