Overview of the role Phoenix enables digital transformation in the workplace, empowering UK organisations to innovate and transform with cloud and hybrid infrastructures, data, AI, security, and collaboration tools. We are now very excited to grow our Microsoft Modern Workplace team further by hiring a SharePoint Technical Consultant. What will you be doing? Scope, design, build, test, implement and document SharePoint Online and wider Microsoft 365 collaboration solutions for new and existing customers. Lead customer-facing workshops, discovery sessions and knowledge‑transfer activities, providing clear guidance throughout the full project lifecycle. Deliver high‑quality project outcomes on time and to budget, working closely with Project Management and internal delivery teams. Develop secure, scalable solutions across SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams, Entra and Purview, including intranet development, data cleansing and migration, modernisation, and integration/automation work. Translate customer requirements into practical technical designs, handling complex scenarios and adapting to the needs of public‑sector environments. Produce clear, accurate project documentation and ensure all deliverables meet agreed standards. Work autonomously when required while contributing to a collaborative, supportive team culture. Mentor colleagues and support the continual development of team skills, services, and delivery practices. Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge and relevant technical accreditations across the Microsoft Modern Workplace. Promote new and existing service offerings to customers and internal stakeholders. Support opportunities in both pre‑sales and post‑sales engagements, providing technical insight where required. Why should you apply? At Phoenix, our philosophy is simple – we aim to be the UK’s leading IT solution and managed service provider and that means we recognise that it’s our people who are the heart of everything we do. We do this by providing the encouragement, support and skill development that you need to be the very best you can be at work. We are proud of our culture, so much so that we have developed our Culture Blueprint which you can read here. What are we looking for? The right person for this role will have proven experience within another partner organisation / consultancy where you are used to working on numerous customer engagements. Those working client‑side or those working as a freelancer/contractor are not suitable for this role. Key Skills & Experience Proven experience delivering Microsoft 365 and SharePoint Online collaboration solutions in a consultancy role within a professional services partner. Strong SharePoint migration experience using tools such as SMPT, Migration Manager and ShareGate. Strong front‑end development skills, including UI enhancements, scripting and automation. Solid understanding of governance, security, data management and best‑practice collaboration processes. Hands‑on experience leading adoption, change and digital transformation projects. Ability to analyse, cleanse and migrate data, including permissions and complex structures. Good knowledge of M365, Entra, Azure, Purview and Power Platform services. Strong documentation, requirements gathering and solution design skills. Excellent communication and customer‑facing skills with the ability to build trusted relationships. Practical stuff Where is the role based? Our HQ is in Pocklington (YO42) and this role can be remote with regular monthly visits to the office. How many interviews? Following a screen with the Recruitment Team you can expect a two‑stage interview process, one online and one in‑person. What are the benefits? You can read about the benefits on offer here 😊 Have you made it this far? If you’re still reading, we think there’s a strong chance you might be our kind of person. Here’s the thing, though — research suggests that 60% of women and underrepresented people might have already talked themselves out of applying. Even if you don’t check every box above, we want to encourage you to introduce yourself. We believe a diversity of perspectives and experiences makes a team stronger — and the stronger our team, the more successful we will be. #J-18808-Ljbffr
