Youth Support WorkerLocation: SwanseaHours: 8:30am – 3:30pm, Monday to FridaySalary: £13.75 per hour About the Role Are you passionate about supporting students in their learning and enthusiastic about making a real difference in young people’s lives? Teaching Personnel are seeking a Youth Support Worker to work across Secondary and SEN schools in Swansea. We offer flexible positions—part time or full time—to suit your way of life. Key Responsibilities Support students who may experience social, emotional, or behavioural challenges. Assist teachers when required, including classroom setup, lesson delivery, and participation in activities (after-school clubs, in-class games, etc.). Help students progress academically and personally, building confidence and essential life skills. Provide 1:1 and small-group mentoring. Maintain a safe, nurturing, and positive classroom environment. Be available for flexible, same-day cover when needed. What We Are Looking For A confident, outgoing, and positive individual. Experience in youth work, mentoring, or education support (preferred but not essential). A genuine passion for supporting and working with young people. A compassionate, approachable person able to build trust and strong relationships. A full UK driving licence. An enhanced DBS (child-only) or willingness to obtain one.
