As part of an exciting expansion within our Housing Department we are looking for passionate and dedicated Community Safety Officers to join our growing team at Wythenshawe Community Housing Group (WCHG) with successful applicants joining us in January 2026. These new roles form part of our ongoing commitment to delivering safer, stronger and more resilient communities across Wythenshawe. About the Role As a Community Safety Officer you will deliver a proactive, customer‑focused and effective anti‑social behaviour (ASB) and community safety service. You will take ownership of ASB casework, working with residents, partners and colleagues across the business to resolve issues, promote community cohesion and help residents feel safe in their homes and neighbourhoods. You will work within the framework of housing and ASB legislation, using early intervention and enforcement tools appropriately while maintaining a strong focus on prevention, support and tenancy sustainability. Key Responsibilities Manage a caseload of ASB and community safety cases ensuring timely and effective resolution. Investigate and action complex cases in line with WCHG policies, procedures and legal responsibilities. Use ASB tools and powers to prevent tenancy breakdown and promote tenancy sustainment. Work closely with tenants, partner agencies and community organisations to develop collaborative responses to local issues. Ensure all casework is accurately recorded and monitored, maintaining high standards of data quality and confidentiality. Contribute to community initiatives that prevent anti‑social behaviour and promote resident wellbeing. Support WCHG’s wider community safety objectives through proactive engagement and partnership working. What We’re Looking For Strong understanding of community safety, anti‑social behaviour and tenancy sustainability. Proven experience delivering excellent customer service, ideally in an ASB or tenancy management role. Experience handling complex cases and using appropriate enforcement or intervention measures. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively and professionally with partners and residents. Empathy, resilience and a commitment to achieving positive outcomes for communities. Good working knowledge of relevant legislation and best practice in community safety and ASB. A housing‑related qualification (desirable but not essential). A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential due to travel between sites.
