About the role SEMH Teaching Assistant – Leeds (LS11) £450 – £500 per week Start date: Immediate Vision for Education are actively seeking to recruit for a whole class Teaching Assistant who has existing experience within an SEMH environment, to work in a school in the Leeds (LS11) area working with KS2 students with challenging behaviours. This is a full time role working 08:15 – 15:30. The role Due to needs of the students that attend this school, this role can be challenging but is also very rewarding. The ideal person would be someone who has a nurturing yet resilient approach within the classroom, and it is essential that you have previous experience in this area as well as an up‑to‑date Team Teach qualification. Requirements Hold an enhanced child and adult workforce DBS which is registered to the update service – highly beneficial; Vision can assist with obtaining this if required. Have an up‑to‑date Team Teach qualification. Be confident when working 1‑2‑1 with children with SEMH needs. Be confident and experienced in implementing de‑escalation techniques.
