We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Intelligence Analyst to join our service in the Children’s BI team. You will be dealing primarily with children social care data using tools such as SQL, Power BI and excel to analyse that data and provide insight.We’re looking for someone who is interested in data and information and curious to apply any insights to improve outcomes for our children. You will have strong expertise in using excel and ideally have some knowledge of using SQL and PowerBi. You should also have some awareness of the roles and responsibilities of local authorities.If you’re ready to use your analytical skills to make a real impact, we’d love to hear from you.Key ResponsibilitiesCollect, analyse, and interpret data to meet statutory reporting requirements and produce ad hoc reports.Present clear, accurate evidence to inform decision making.Produce comparative data and performance reports.Develop ways to improve data accuracy and quality.Respond to Freedom of Information Requests and any other adhoc requests for information, data and analysis.Extract data using SQL.Visualise data using Power BI.Work StyleAt North Somerset Council, we offer a hybrid working environment based on four distinct work styles.
