Recruitment Executive at ARUK & Founder of Ely Hero Awards Direct Marketing Executive – Engagement The Direct Marketing Engagement team is responsible for building and nurturing relationships with supporters through a diverse range of fundraising activities. The Direct Marketing Executive supports the team across multiple channels, ensuring effective data management, compliance, and support for campaign delivery. Key Responsibilities Support planning and delivery of supporter engagement and fundraising activities, including newsletters, thanking communications, direct mail, appeals, raffles and telephone fundraising. Conduct call listening to measure fundraising quality and ensure compliance. Liaise with designers, printers, mailing houses, agencies and fulfilment houses. Manage day‑to‑day relationships with fundraising agencies and suppliers. Assist in developing and delivering the supporter engagement programme. Help produce and deliver motivating training for fundraisers. Recommend changes and refinements across the direct marketing programme. Finance & Reporting Track and report daily campaign performance, and assist with end‑of‑campaign reviews. Administer recording, reconciliation and processing of invoices paid from engagement Direct Marketing nominal codes. Other Duties Monitor and analyse competitor and sector activity; recommend improvements and testing opportunities. Maintain guard files and relevant documents. Keep current with sector best practice in fundraising. Proof‑read direct marketing materials and collateral. Support regular compliance tasks. Manage the Intranet on behalf of the engagement Direct Marketing team. Attend, support and contribute to meetings, events and fundraiser training. Stay updated on dementia news, research developments and ARUK work, considering impact on campaigns. Undertake any other duties or projects delegated by the Senior Direct Marketing Officer. What We Are Looking For Experience using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Proofreading skills. Strong organisational abilities and prioritisation. Willingness to collaborate and work closely with other departments and external suppliers. Excellent attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication; confidence to speak with all levels. Team player, self‑motivator, focused on results and continuous improvement. Flexibility to work some unsocial hours and travel independently. Additional Information Ways of Working Agile – approximately 2 days a week from the office, with flexibility to work from home or the office as required.
