The home provides high-quality care for adolescents who present with emotional or behavioural difficulties, offering a nurturing and structured setting where young people are supported to achieve their potential. The successful candidate will play a key role in leading a committed team of care staff, ensuring the delivery of safe, compassionate and consistent care. The Role The Team Leader will lead by example, providing day-to-day guidance and support to care staff while working directly with young people. Responsibilities include : Leading and motivating the care team to deliver exceptional standards of care. Supporting young people in their daily lives, helping them to develop independence and confidence. Promoting education, health, and emotional wellbeing, ensuring care is always child-centred. Participating in activities, outings, and educational support to engage and inspire young people. Maintaining accurate and professional records, reports, and communication logs. Ensuring compliance with company policies, statutory requirements, and safeguarding standards. Taking part in household duties to maintain a warm, safe and homely environment. Supporting and mentoring team members through supervision, guidance and training. About You The ideal candidate will be calm under pressure, approachable, and dedicated to making a difference in the lives of young people. You will have : A minimum of 18 months’ experience in residential childcare or a similar setting. A Level 3 or 4 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or working towards). Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and support others. A professional, caring, and resilient attitude with a genuine passion for youth development.
