Our client is a trusted and well‑established provider of residential care for children and young people aged 11-18. Their homes are safe, nurturing spaces where young people can feel valued, supported, and encouraged to grow — emotionally, socially, and academically. They’re now looking for passionate Team Leaders to join their team in Leyland. This is a brilliant opportunity for experienced Residential Support Workers ready to take the next step in their career, or current Team Leaders seeking a role in a progressive, child‑centred organisation. The Role As a Team Leader, you’ll play a key leadership role in ensuring the smooth day‑to‑day running of the home. Working closely with the Registered and Deputy Managers, you’ll support the care team to deliver exceptional, consistent care and achieve positive outcomes for the young people. You’ll act as both a hands‑on practitioner and a mentor — guiding staff, managing shifts, overseeing care plans, and helping to maintain a safe, welcoming, and Ofsted‑compliant environment. This is a fast‑paced, deeply rewarding role where no two days are the same, and your leadership truly makes a difference. Key Responsibilities Support the Registered and Deputy Managers with the daily operation of the home, including staff supervision, shift management, and care delivery. Lead by example, creating a positive, professional and caring atmosphere within the home. Assist in recruitment, training, and development of care staff. Maintain accurate records, reports, and care documentation to the highest professional standard. Oversee care plans, risk assessments, and behaviour management strategies to ensure each young person receives tailored, consistent support. Build trusting relationships with young people to help them develop life skills, resilience, and independence. Manage petty cash, budgets, and administrative tasks in line with company procedures. Support staff through challenging situations, providing guidance, coaching, and debriefing as needed. Uphold safeguarding principles and act promptly on any concerns or disclosures. Contribute to inspections, reviews, and meetings to ensure the home maintains high standards and achieves strong Ofsted outcomes. About You We’re looking for a confident, compassionate, and motivated individual who leads by example and shares a genuine passion for supporting young people. Experience working in a children’s residential or social care setting (essential). Previous supervisory or leadership experience (essential). Strong knowledge of safeguarding, child development, and relevant childcare legislation. The ability to manage challenging situations calmly and professionally. Excellent communication, organisational, and record‑keeping skills. A Level 3 qualification in Children’s Residential Care or equivalent (essential). A Level 5 or management qualification (desirable or willingness to work towards). A full UK driving licence (preferred). Flexibility to work a 24/7 rota, including sleep‑ins and weekends. What’s on Offer Competitive salary and sleep‑in payments. Ongoing training and leadership development opportunities. Supportive management and a team that values collaboration and growth. Real career progression — with opportunities to move into Deputy or Registered Manager roles. A genuinely rewarding environment where your work has lasting impact. If you’re ready to take the next step in your career and help shape brighter futures for young people, we’d love to hear from you. Apply now and become a valued part of a team that’s changing lives, one day at a time. #J-18808-Ljbffr
