An exciting opportunity has arisen for individuals to work as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) within acute medicine which gives opportunity to work within Admissions Unit One, SDEC and Flow and Navigation The ANP will play an integral role in the management and delivery of patient care within Admissions Unit One. We are looking for experienced nursing staff who, acting within their professional boundaries will provide care for the presenting patient from initial history taking, clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment and evaluation of their care. They will demonstrate safe clinical decision making and expert care for patients. The ANP will also have a responsibility to teach, supervise, assess and mentor, and to plan, prioritise and delegate work to other staff members. Shift pattern is 12.5 hour shifts working days and twilights over 7 days for fixed term /secondment for 1 year to cover Maternity leave Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced ANPs who already possess non-medical prescribing and clinical decision making qualifications. You should have evidence of significant post registration professional practice experience to undertake and fulfil the key areas for this post. This includes the completion of relevant postgraduate courses to masters degree level, or working towards master degree level or ability to demonstrate working at masters degree level appropriate to clinical area.
