Senior Management AccountantLocation: QatarEmployment Type: PermanentA leading manufacturing organisation is seeking a Senior Management Accountant to oversee management accounting, cost control, and reporting functions. The role involves ensuring accurate product costing, inventory valuation, and operational financial analysis to support effective decision-making across the organisation.Role OverviewThe Senior Management Accountant will perform cost and management accounting tasks, including variance analysis, inventory management, product costing, operational improvements, and reporting. The role will liaise with multiple departments including production, procurement, supply chain, maintenance, and quality to provide actionable financial insights and support operational efficiency.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare management information reports to support senior leadership in strategic decision‑makingDevelop and maintain monthly product cost sheets and reporting for production unitsPerform cost variance analysis and coordinate with production teams to understand discrepanciesSupport inventory management through periodic valuations, adjustments, and physical count verificationDevelop and maintain costing procedures and documentation for products and processesAssist in internal and statutory audits related to inventory and material accountingProvide financial support and advice to other departments, including production, procurement, warehouse, and logisticsIdentify opportunities for process improvement and cost savings, ensuring alignment with global standards and best practicesPrepare accurate, timely management accounts highlighting variances and recommending corrective actionsEnsure compliance with internal policies, quality standards, and safety regulationsCarry out additional tasks as required by managementQualifications and ExperienceUniversity degree in FinanceProfessional accounting qualification such as CA, CMA, or CIMA preferredMinimum 8 years’ experience in management accounting, ideally in a manufacturing environmentExperience in cost accounting, performance management, and financial reportingStrong knowledge of IFRS standards and ERP systemsSkills and CompetenciesExcellent analytical and problem‑solving skillsStrong planning, organising, and report‑writing skillsEffective communication and interpersonal abilitiesAbility to work independently and collaboratively within a teamHigh proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPointUnderstanding of operational and financial analysis techniquesCore CompetenciesCreativity and innovation in financial problem‑solvingStrong work ethics and valuesCommitment to safety and qualityAnalytical thinking and information processingFinancial and management accounting expertise to track and manage revenues and expendituresThis role offers a challenging opportunity for a proactive and detail‑oriented accounting professional to support operational and financial performance within a dynamic manufacturing environment. #J-18808-Ljbffr
