Trust Doctor in Paediatric Accident & Emergency Medicine – ST3+ level Barts Health NHS Trust – Whipps Cross Hospital, London (E11 1NR). Position: Trust Doctor (ST3+) in Paediatric Emergency Medicine. Fixed‑term 12 months, full‑time (flexible part‑time considered). Salary: £50,175 to £67,610 per annum. Post expires August 2026. About the Department The Emergency Department at Whipps Cross University Hospital offers diverse clinical exposure and management skills for paediatric emergencies. Key Responsibilities Provide clinical care to paediatric patients in the Emergency Department. Manage acute paediatric cases, including assessment, resuscitation, and procedures. Work shifts and flexible hours (no overnight shifts). Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team. Maintain quality care, organise own CPD, and support junior staff. Participate in clinical audit and teaching where appropriate. Essential Qualifications & Experience MB ChB or equivalent. Full GMC Registration. Minimum 3 years clinical experience in Emergency Medicine or allied acute care. Medical knowledge commensurate with post grade. Understanding of Advanced Life Support (ALS) principles. Good written and verbal communication skills. Commitment to quality care. Ability to organise own CPD. Desirable MRCP(UK) Part I or equivalent. MRCS Part A & B or equivalent. MCEM Parts A & B or equivalent. MRCPCH Part 1 or equivalent. Accredited Paediatric Resuscitation qualification (APLS, PILS, EPLS, NLS or equivalent). Enthusiasm in teaching junior doctors, medical students, and nurses. Involvement in clinical audit. Additional Information\Applications requiring sponsorship (Skilled Worker) will be considered.
