The Role Full‑time, long‑term Teaching Assistant position with the opportunity to go permanent Competitive daily rate of £100-£115 Supporting learners in small groups and on a 1:1 basis within the Pupil Referral Unit Assisting teachers in delivering tailored lessons across the curriculum, including GCSE and Functional Skills Helping pupils in High Wycombe re‑engage with education through consistent structure, encouragement and behaviour management strategies The Ideal Candidate Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a youth work/support role, care or residential background Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to de‑escalate challenging situations A calm, resilient and adaptable approach to working with learners who may be disengaged from mainstream education Passionate about supporting young people with SEMH needs and challenging behaviours in High Wycombe Eager to learn and grow within a specialist Pupil Referral Unit setting This is an excellent opportunity for a Teaching Assistant in High Wycombe who is looking to build a long‑term career within specialist education.
