Senior Geo‑Environmental Engineer sought by a prestigious, Large Geo‑Environmental Consultancy. The role is based in Manchester. Overview Our client is part of a prestigious, nationwide site investigation, contaminated land and geotechnical consultancy, providing integrated multidisciplinary services to a wide range of sectors. They are looking for Senior Geo‑Environmental Engineer to join their Manchester team successfully delivering consultancy and design services to a wide range of external clients including engineers, house-builders, oil companies and local authorities. Responsibilities Design and manage a variety of geo-environmental and geotechnical ground investigation and interpretative projects for both external clients and for other teams within the company. Soil and rock logging to current geotechnical standards, including laboratory scheduling. Prepare H&S plans and RAMS. Preparing of Remediation Strategies, including verification works on site. Establishing and developing strong working relationships with new and existing clients, which is integral to the growth of the department and the wider business. Provide technical leadership in the day-to-day delivery of projects. Requirements BEng or BSc or equivalent in Civil, Geology or Geotechnical Engineering or similar. An MSc/further degree in Engineering Geology, Geotechnics or Environmental Science or equivalent is desirable. Minimum 5 years' relevant industry background. Registered with a suitable professional body and working towards Chartered status with a relevant institution (e.g. Geol Soc/CIWEM/ICE). Significant and demonstrable background in Geotechnical and Geoenvironmental investigations and reporting. Demonstrable track‑record and ability to prepare Geotechnical and Geo-environmental Preliminary. On offer Competitive salary commensurate with experience. Contributory Pension Scheme.
